El pasado 11 de agosto, en el concierto “Bajo las Estrellas”, un pre-concierto al aire libre desde las instalaciones de Long Center for the Perfoming Art y un jugoso aperitivo de lo que sería la gala formal del magno evento, CRISTINA se lució ante sus miles de admiradores que aplaudieron hasta rabiar con cada una de sus canciones. Ya el jueves, día 12, a su entrada en la alfombra roja, la artista se presentó con toda su elegancia, sencillez y belleza ante el público tejano que desde tempranas horas esperaron bajo el ardiente sol y el calor para poder saludar de cerca a su estrella favorita.

El espectáculo, transmitido en su totalidad por Univisión Austín y sus afiliadas en Texas, además, con retransmisión por la cadena Galavisión, dio comienzo con un grandioso homenaje al Bicentenario de la Independencia de México. Acompañada por mariachis y la orquesta filarmónica de Austín, CRISTINA, quien lucía un vestido típico mexicano donado por la Cónsul General de México en Sacramento, la Sra. Alejandra Bologna, arrancó lágrimas con su interpretación, poniendo de pie al público en un largo aplauso que hizo llorar a la cantante. El tema escogido fue el que inmortalizara una vez el charro cantor Jorge Negrete: “México Lindo y Querido”, del compositor Chucho Monge.

“Es la primera vez que gano un premio en mi carrera, cuando escuché mi nombre no lo podía creer. Estoy agradecida una vez más por los votos de mis fans y por el gran trabajo de mi equipo. Este premio me aporta nuevos bríos para continuar y echarle más ganas a mi carrera”, expresó CRISTINA que apenas podía contener su emoción. Cientos de sus seguidores viajaron de diferentes ciudades del país para estar con ella y compartir este día inolvidable. Así mismo, parte de su familia, incluyendo a su Sra. madre, se encontraba en el teatro aplaudiéndola y dándole todo su apoyo.

La próxima semana, CRISTINA viajará a la ciudad de Guadalajara para cantar por primera vez en el teatro TELMEX, dentro del marco de la convención de Monitor Latino, junto a las más grandes estrellas de la canción. During the last 5th edition of TEXAS AWARDS 2010 in Austin, CRISTINA’s presence imposed since her arrival as one of the most loved, recognized and admired by the public.

On August 11th, at “Bajo las Estrellas”, a pre-concert from Long Center for the Perfoming Art and a tangy taste of what would be the formal Gala was showcased CRISTINA with thousands of admirers who applauded to rage with each of her songs. Accompanied by mariachis and the Austin Philharmonic Orchestra, CRISTINA, who was wearing a traditional dress donated by the Mexican Consul in Sacramento, Ms. Alejandra Bologna, to tears with her performance, standing up to the public in a long applause. The song chosen for this moment was “México lindo y querido”, immortalized by Jorge Negrete and composed by Chucho Monge.

“For the first time I’ve won a prize in my career. When I heard my name I couldn’t believe. I am grateful once again for the votes of my fans and the great work of my team. This prize gives me new strength to continue and give it more feelings in my career,” said Cristina could barely contain her excitement. Hundreds of her fans traveled from different cities to be with her and share this unforgettable day. Also, part of her family, including his mother, was in the theater clapping and giving support.

Next week, CRISTINA will travel to Guadalajara to perform for the first time in the Telmex Theater, during the Monitor Latino Convention, with many other super stars. “The voice of iron”, as already known, will perform her new hit “Lo fiado”. Senadores, alcaldes, ejecutivos de la disquera Fonovisa y hasta el mismísimo Gobernador de California estuvieron presente en este evento, que se llevó a cabo en el Capitolio de la ciudad de Sacramento, donde además Cristina encantó al final de la jornada en una presentación intima, acompañada por un mariachi, tanto a latinos como anglosajones presentes, quedaron impresionados con el talento y la voz potente de la joven artista.

Pero esta vez, Cristina no solo cantó, también, hizo uso de los micrófonos para hablar ante todas las personalidades presentes sobre los problemas por los cuales está atravesando la industria de la música como lo es la piratería y así ella, como joven artista, dar testimonio de lo que acontece en la industria del disco a los célebres invitados allí presente.

“Fue un día muy intenso y mágico, conocí mucha gente importante, creo que mi mensaje trascendió, todos los que tiene el poder de crear leyes y reformas,  entendieron que es importante hacer leyes más estrictas para salvar la música y preservar la integridad de los artistas, tanto de los ya  famosos, como  también de los que comenzamos en esta carrera como yo, pero  muy en especial a  los artistas  que vendrán en un futuros, a esos niños que tiene sueños,” comentó Cristina, quien está emocionada por haber tenido la oportunidad de vivir una experiencia inigualable y aportar un granito de arena.

Senators, mayors, Fonovisa label executives and even the Governor of California himself were present at this event which was held at the Capitol in Sacramento, where he also loved Cristina at the end of the day in an intimate presentation, accompanied by a mariachi, both Latinos and Anglos present were impressed with the talent and the powerful voice of the young artist.

But this time, Cristina not only sang, too, made use of the microphones to speak to all those present on the problems which is facing the music industry as piracy and so is she, as a young artist, to testimony of what happens in the music industry to the famous guests present there.

“It was a very intense and magical, I met many important people, I think my message was learned that everyone who has the power to create laws and reforms, it is important to understand that more stringent laws to save and preserve music integrity artists, both famous and as well as those who started this race as I do, but especially for artists to come in future to those children who have dreams,” said Cristina, who is thrilled to have had the opportunity to live a unique experience and offer a grain of sand.

The singer of “Mucha mujer para ti“, is also great reasons to be happy is that this next Saturday, May 8, will be performing exclusively at the Gibson Theater in Los Angeles, with an idol of Mexico, Pedro Fernandez, who will be offering a grand concert on the eve of Mother’s Day. This time the Mexican opens concert is already sold out for one of the artists she has always admired and respected.

Cristina is still promoting his new CD “De Los Pies Hasta La Frente” album that is rising rapidly in privileged positions in the Billboard charts. Cristina Eustace asegura que con su primer disco Mucha mujer para ti, la gente la conocerá “De los pies hasta la frente”, título de uno de los temas que componen esta producción.

“De verdad que cada canción me describe. Sinceramente te digo que duramos mucho tiempo escogiendo los temas porque si no se me paraban los pelos con cada una, decía ‘bye, la que sigue’”, dice Cristina con su marcado acento norteño.

La chihuahuense radicada en Dallas saltó a la fama en el 2008, cuando ganó el primer lugar de la quinta edición del concurso “Objetivo Fama”, cuyo gran premio era un contrato discográfico con Fonovisa.

Para su debut discográfico, Cristina eligió el popular género de banda, que asegura lo lleva en las venas.

“Yo con esta música nací, con los mariachis, la música regional mexicana. Creo que mi voz y mi corazón están en México y cuando tú escuchas a Cristina cantando banda dices ‘ah, con razón’”.

Entre los temas que destacan están “Camas vacías”, compuesta por Joaquín Sabina; “De los pies a la cabeza”, originalmente grabada por Lucha Villa, y el cover de “Jamás te dejaré”, de Rocío Dúrcal.

“Rocío Dúrcal, ¡imagínate!, es mi influencia. Esta canción la traté de respetar lo más que pude porque ¿qué más le puedes hacer a esta canción tan bonita? Sí le puse el ‘toque Cristina’ además de un sax que se escucha increíble”, afirma emocionada.

Otro título que la llena de orgullo es “Cómo puedes”, compuesta por María Luisa y Teresita Diego, conocidas en el mundo musical como Las Diego y famosas por temas como “Te estás pasando”, clásico de Lupita D’Alessio.

Cristina confiesa que de todas las canciones, ésta fue la que más trabajo le costó grabar.

“Lo primero que me dijo mi director musical fue ‘Cristina, esta va a ser la pesadilla de los karaokes’. Porque está bien difícil, es muy intensa. Vocalmente te pide mucho, sube y sube y aparte es cortavenas de verdad. Creo que cuando terminé de grabarla no hice nada más, di todo, acabé agotada”.

Participar en “Objetivo Fama” le dio gran reconocimiento y el cariño y apoyo de todos los fans que votaron por ella, pero la joven de 30 años afirma que hay una gran diferencia entre la Cristina que concursó y la cantante que ahora es.

“La diferencia es que antes yo era una cantante, una chava que quería dar los tonos más altos del mundo, demostrar lo que Dios me había dado, la voz.

“He aprendido que una canción la tienes que hacer tuya, no importa si es fácil o difícil, con una nota que cambies puedes parar los pelos, pero si no la haces tuya, la canción no sirve de nada”.
